The Controls Engineer designs, develops, plans, and implements projects involving control systems at various manufacturing sites and supplier facilities supporting the operation with technical issues and participate in continuous improvement activities. This position will be based with different customers facilities in US and México.
• Designs, develops, and supervises the control systems, equipment, and machinery.
•Develop and document requirements required to design an automotive system.
•Identify system vulnerabilities and craft mitigation action plans.
•Design tests to efficiently find opportunities for design improvements.
•Implement protection schemes and logic diagrams based on technical drawings.
•Create electrical diagrams and mechanical control systems.
•Assist in automating processes or modifying existing programs.
•Support all controls functions including PLC, HMI and all electrical components.
•Download relay configuration to devices in the factory.
•Download PLC configuration to IEDs in the factory.
•Provides installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
•Recommends and implements improvements or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and continuous improvement opportunities.
•Participate in project updates and equipment run-offs.
•Maintain electrical control standards to ensure the latest technologies are being applied.
•Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and consistency to standard methodologies.•Training and support of the plant engineering staff.
•Provide support to other specialists for root cause analysis.
•Strong ability to expertly capture and analyze empirical data.
•Stay on top of new technologies, and best practices in automotive industry.
• Experience in developing and debugging product testing programs, in the automotive industry.
• Excellent project management skills, including execution and follow up assessment.

BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering - Or equivalent experience

The Robotics Engineer designs, develops, plans, and implements projects involving control systems at various manufacturing sites and supplier facilities supporting the operation with technical issues and participate in continuous improvement activities. • Design and develop robotic systems and automation solutions for automotive manufacturing processes, including assembly lines, welding, painting, and material handling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of robotic systems and automation solutions.
• Create detailed specifications, schematics, and documentation for robotic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Program and configure industrial robots and automation equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing manufacturing systems.
• Optimize robotic processes, including path planning, trajectory optimization, and cycle time reduction, to maximize productivity and throughput.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to robotic systems, automation equipment, and associated software.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in robotics and automation technologies relevant to the automotive industry.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and external partners to identify and evaluate new technologies and equipment for potential implementation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements throughout the development and implementation of robotic systems. Training and support of the plant engineering staff.
• Provide support to other specialists for root cause analysis.

• Experience in Fanuc, Nachi, ABB robots
